BCCI in Talks with PCB Over Asia Cup Trophy Dispute
India's cricket team won a big tournament called the Asia Cup.
But when it was time to give them the trophy, they didn't get it.
This happened because the person from Pakistan who was supposed to give the trophy wanted to do it himself, but India didn't want that because of problems between their countries.
So, the trophy is stuck at an office in Dubai.
Now, the cricket leaders from India and Pakistan are talking, and someone from the big international cricket group, the ICC, is helping them sort it out.
They are hopeful they can give the trophy to India soon.
There was also a confusing situation about another player, Uma Chetry, but the BCCI explained why her welcome home wasn't a big party.
India won the Asia Cup 2025 on September 28th, but the trophy has not been presented to the team.
The trophy was reportedly locked in the ACC headquarters in Dubai on the orders of Pakistan's Interior Minister.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed talks are happening with the PCB, with an ICC official mediating.
The dispute arose because the BCCI resisted PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presenting the trophy due to political tensions.
Saikia is optimistic about a resolution and the trophy being handed over to India soon.
