AI-Driven Time Travel Series 'Streets of the Past' Commissioned by Hearst Networks
A new TV show called 'Streets of the Past' is being made using AI to help a historian travel back in time and tell stories about important streets in the Netherlands.
The show will mix real footage with AI-generated scenes to make it look like the historian is really there in the past.
It will be on TV and online in January 2026.
Particle6, a UK-based production company, has been commissioned to create a new AI-led series by Hearst Networks.
The series, 'Streets of the Past', will be a 10-episode, short-form history show for The History Channel in the Netherlands.
Dutch historical investigator Corjan Mol will be transported back in time using AI to tell stories about famous streets and squares in the Netherlands.
Each episode will blend live-action footage with AI-generated historical scenes for accuracy and immersion.
The series will premiere in January 2026 on The History Channel and its SVoD/BVoD platforms, as well as social media.
