Bihar Launches Mobile Phone App for Voting
Bihar is trying out something new: letting people vote using their phones!
Starting with elections in some cities, people who can't get to a regular voting place (like if they're old, have a disability, or are far away) can vote on an app.
You download the app, connect it to your phone number, and vote.
They're using special security features to make sure everything is safe and no one cheats.
Bihar becomes the first state to allow voting via a mobile phone app.
Elections will be held in six municipal councils across three districts.
The app is for those who can't go to polling booths, like seniors and disabled voters.
Voters must download the e-SECBHR app and link it to their registered phone number.
The system includes blockchain, face match, and audit trails to ensure security.
