Sathya Sai District: Firecracker License Applications Open

The government in Sri Sathya Sai district is letting people apply online for licenses to sell firecrackers for the upcoming Deepavali festival.

People who want to sell firecrackers need to fill out a form online, provide proof of where they live, some photos, and pay a fee.

They have until the end of September to apply.

The government will check the applications and give licenses to those who meet all the requirements.

Only those with new licenses can sell firecrackers this year and old licenses won't work.

Also, as per the rules, only environmentally friendly 'green crackers' can be sold.
