Court Grants Bail to Siblings in Doctor’s Suicide Case
A dentist named Gauri Palve sadly took her own life at her home in Worli.
The police think it might be because of problems in her marriage.
Her husband, Anant Garje, and his two siblings were accused of making her feel very bad.
But a court said the accusations against the siblings were not clear enough.
The court decided that the siblings did not do anything specific to make Gauri Palve feel so bad that she took her own life.
So, the court allowed them to stay free until the trial.
The court also said that more investigation is needed to find out why Gauri Palve took her own life.
Gauri Palve, a dentist, committed suicide on November 22 at her Worli residence allegedly due to domestic disputes.
Her husband Anant Garje and his siblings Shital Garje Andhale and Ajay Garje were booked for abetting the suicide.
The court granted anticipatory bail to the siblings, stating that allegations against them were 'vague' and 'without specific instigation'.
The judge emphasized that the act of instigation must be direct and alarming, and mere general allegations are insufficient.
The court noted that the complainant did not provide specific details about the alleged harassment by the siblings.
