Threatening ISIS poster in Meghalaya sparks concern
A scary poster was found in Tura, Meghalaya, telling the Garo people to leave the area by 2027.
The poster said it was from a group called ISIS, but the police think it might be a trick to make people worried.
The police have taken the poster to check it and are trying to find out who did it.
A local leader said everyone should stay calm and work together.
This happened after some fights between different groups in the same area a few weeks ago.
A threatening poster was found in Tura, West Garo Hills, demanding Garos to leave the area by 2027.
The poster claimed to be from ISIS, but its authenticity is doubted by the police.
Meghalaya Cabinet Minister Marcuise N Marak condemned the act and urged people to stay calm and united.
The West Garo Hills police registered a case and are investigating the matter, suspecting it's a deliberate attempt to create anxiety.
This incident follows the lynching of environmental activist Dilseng M. Sangma in the same district earlier this month.
