Indian Woman Murdered in Maryland

A 27-year-old Indian woman named Nikitha Godishala was found dead in her ex-flatmate's apartment in Maryland.

She had been reported missing on January 2, and her body was discovered the next day with stab wounds.

The ex-flatmate, Arjun Sharma, reported her missing but left the country on the same day.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for him and are working with federal agencies to find him.

The Indian Embassy is helping her family.

Investigators believe she was killed shortly after 7 pm on December 31.

Godishala was a data and strategy analyst at Vheda Health in Columbia, Maryland, and had previously worked in healthcare and data analysis roles.

Her father stated that the accused was her ex-flatmate, not her ex-boyfriend, and that they had financial disagreements.
