J&K Govt Mulls Regularizing Daily Wagers, Filling 800 Veterinary Posts
The government in Jammu and Kashmir is thinking about making jobs permanent for people who work day-to-day for the government.
A special team is looking at all the important details to see how this can be done fairly.
They have also registered over a hundred thousand of these workers using special ID cards to make sure everything is recorded correctly.
At the same time, the government is hiring new vets to fill over 800 empty spots in animal care centers.
They want to make sure that farms and animals across the region get the help they need, even in faraway places.
Help is also available for farmers through government programs, and special mobile vet vans are going to remote areas to give care right at the farms.
J&K government is actively considering regularizing daily wagers, casual laborers, and need-based employees.
A high-level committee, led by the Chief Secretary, is examining administrative, financial, and legal aspects of regularization.
Over 1,00,501 daily wage employees have been registered through an Aadhaar-based biometric system.
Recruitment is underway to fill over 800 vacant posts for Veterinary Assistant Surgeons and Livestock Development Officers.
The government is providing assistance to livestock farmers and deploying mobile veterinary units for remote areas.
