Charles Buxton's Quote Urges People to Make Time
Charles Buxton said that people usually do not suddenly discover extra free time.
Busy responsibilities often fill every empty moment.
If something is important, people may need to choose it as a priority.
They can make room by spending less time on less important activities.
Writing a task into a schedule can help protect time for it.
People should not wait for a perfect day to begin.
Even a small amount of time can help someone start.
The main lesson is to decide what matters and deliberately make space for it.
Charles Buxton said, “You will never ‘find’ time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.”
The quote argues that free time rarely appears because daily responsibilities fill available space.
It suggests that priorities determine how people allocate their time.
Buxton’s advice includes setting priorities, blocking time, and avoiding delays for a perfect moment.
Charles Roden Buxton was an English philanthropist and politician who later joined the Labour Party.
