Telangana Teachers Union Plans Hyderabad Rally for Pension Scheme Change
The Progressive Recognized Teachers Union of Telangana State (PRTU-TS) is organizing a big protest to get rid of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
They say CPS is not good for employees.
They want the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) back.
They will have a big meeting called a Maha Dharna in Hyderabad on September 1, 2025.
Before the big meeting, they're doing smaller protests.
The union wants everyone to wear black to show they disagree with CPS.
They hope the government will listen and change the pension rules.
PRTU-TS released a poster for a Maha Dharna to abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
The Maha Dharna will take place on September 1, 2025, at Indira Park, Hyderabad.
Teachers and employees working under CPS across Telangana are expected to participate.
PRTU-TS leaders criticized CPS and urged the government to abolish it, restoring the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
