Malayappa Swamy Processions Highlight Second Day of Tirumala Brahmotsavams

Tirumala held the second day of its Brahmotsavams festival.

Many devotees came to see Malayappa Swamy carried in special vehicles called vahanams.

In the morning, the deity appeared on the Chinna Sesha Vahanam as Sri Panduranga Swamy.

In the afternoon, priests gave the festival idols a ceremonial bath using items such as milk, honey and sandalwood paste.

They also recited several sacred Vedic prayers.

Later, the deities were part of the Unjal Seva ceremony.

At night, Malayappa Swamy traveled on the Hamsa Vahanam, which represents knowledge.

About 430 artists from 10 states performed traditional dances and cultural programmes for visitors.
