Brokerages Divided on Wipro and Tech Mahindra Q1 Results
Wipro and Tech Mahindra, two major IT companies in India, recently released their results for the first quarter (April-June).
Wipro's results were not very good.
Their revenue stayed the same as expected but was actually a bit lower than the previous quarter.
Their profits also went down, and they had to lower their expectations for the next quarter.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra did much better.
Their profits and revenue went up, and they were able to keep their margins strong.
Brokerages, who are like financial experts, had different opinions.
Some thought Wipro's performance was weak and gave them lower ratings, while others thought Tech Mahindra did well and raised their target prices.
Overall, it shows that while both companies are doing okay, they are facing different challenges and opportunities.
Wipro's Q1 revenue met estimates but fell 1.2% sequentially, with net profit down 4.3%.
