Hyderabad Metro Rail Road Widening in Old City Gaining Pace
The Hyderabad Metro Rail project in the Old City is moving forward.
They are making roads wider to build the metro, and they've already started the work.
They originally thought they would need to affect around 1100 properties, but through some adjustments, they got it down to 900.
They've already given money to some of the people whose properties are affected and started to take down some of the buildings.
They are being very careful to not interrupt things and are doing some of the work at night to avoid causing problems.
They are also getting ready to build the stations and the pillars that will hold up the metro, making sure to move things like water pipes and power lines out of the way.
The goal is to get everything done as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Road widening for the Metro Rail corridor in Hyderabad's Old City is accelerating.
The number of affected properties was reduced to 900 from the initial estimate of 1,100.
Awards have been issued for 412 properties, and demolition is complete for 380.
Compensation of Rs 360 crore has been disbursed to affected property owners.
Construction groundwork, including soil tests and utility preparations, is underway.
