Indian Women Artisans Showcase Phulkari in London
Women from Bathinda, India, are sharing their traditional Phulkari embroidery with the world.
With help from HMEL and Nabha Foundation, they displayed their work in London, following successful showcases in Germany and Dubai.
They showed off over 200 handcrafted items, from clothes to home decor, at a fashion exhibition.
The artisans also learned about new fashion trends and how to sell their work online.
This project helps these women earn a living and keeps their cultural heritage alive.
The project is supported by HMEL and has trained over 300 women in the craft.
Women artisans from Bathinda showcased Phulkari in London through HMEL's initiative.
Over 200 handcrafted Phulkari products, including 45 new designs, were displayed at the Source Fashion Exhibition.
