Hindalco beats Q1 estimates, stays cautious on bauxite bidding

Hindalco is a big Indian company that makes aluminium and copper.

These metals are used to make things like cans, cars, and wires.

The company showed its report card for the first three months of the year.

It made a lot more money than before, earning about ₹7,013 crore in profit.

Experts thought it would earn less, so the company surprised everyone in a good way.

The boss, Satish Pai, said the company is happy but also careful.

He said they will not pay crazy-high prices to buy new mines.

Other companies are fighting over bauxite, the rock used to make aluminium.

One rival, Vedanta, paid a record amount for a mine called Karlapat.

Hindalco says it will use its experience of more than 20 years and focus on building new factories on time.
