Andhra Pradesh Orders School Interventions as Ratings Lag

Andhra Pradesh reviewed how its schools are performing.

More than half of the schools scored below three stars.

Many students are attending school less often than the government wants.

The government will watch schools with low attendance and weak results more closely.

It has identified thousands of ninth-grade students who need extra help and assigned mentors to them.

Unsafe classrooms will be demolished and replaced with other arrangements.

The state also plans to improve school facilities and increase parent use of its education app.

It is working on literacy, job training, employment, and artificial intelligence programs too.
