Hostel Complaints Prompt Warden Removal in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar

Girls at a government hostel in Dahi complained about problems at the facility.

Some said the warden made them do household work.

Other girls said they did not have problems with the warden or her husband.

After the complaints, the district collector removed the warden from her post.

The warden’s husband also lost his guest teacher job because officials cited his involvement and indiscipline.

Officials inspected the hostel and spoke directly with the girls.

The chief minister said girls’ safety, mental health and living conditions were important.

A teacher was given temporary responsibility for running the hostel.
