Dehradun Mandates FIRs for Dog Bites
The Dehradun Municipal Corporation has made a new rule called the Dog License By-law 2025.
This rule says that if a dog bites someone, the owner will have to face legal action, and the police will have to write a report about it.
Owners also have to make sure their dogs don't bother people, especially at night.
They have to pay a fee to register their dogs, especially if they have big or aggressive breeds like Rottweilers.
The dogs also need to be vaccinated and sterilized.
If someone has more than five dogs, they have to get special permission to take care of them.
The rule is made to keep people safe and make sure dog owners take good care of their pets.
