Chhattisgarh Leads Youth-Led Gram Sabha Initiative
Chhattisgarh's Eklavya Model Residential School in Kosambuda won first place in a national program called the Model Youth Gram Sabha.
This program teaches students about democracy and how to participate in village governance.
Over 800 schools across India took part, and EMRS Kosambuda was chosen as the best because of their excellent performance in a mock village meeting.
They showed a good understanding of local governance and proposed practical solutions to village problems.
The school will be honored at a national ceremony in New Delhi on January 28.
This achievement highlights Chhattisgarh's focus on teaching democratic values and involving young people in community decision-making.
