Russia Conducts Successful 6,700-Kilometre Mobile ICBM Test Across Country

Russia tested a powerful missile that can travel between continents.

The missile was launched from a space and military site in northwestern Russia.

It flew more than 6,700 kilometres toward a test site in Kamchatka.

Soldiers moved the launcher into a forest before firing.

This means the missile system does not always need to use an underground silo.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said the missile followed its planned path.

The ministry also said all parts of the test were completed successfully.

The test checked how well the missile system works and how quickly it can be used in the field.
