Coromandel and Veolia Expand Desalination Plant in Vizag
A company called Coromandel, which makes things for farming, is making more clean water.
They teamed up with Veolia to expand their water cleaning system in Vizag.
The new system will clean 9 million liters of water daily, which is more than the current 6 million.
Veolia will handle the water treatment, while Coromandel provides support.
This will allow Coromandel to get most of its water from the ocean, becoming less dependent on other water sources.
Coromandel and Veolia signed an agreement to expand the desalination capacity.
The plant is located in Visakhapatnam (Vizag).
The expansion will increase capacity from 6 to 9 MLD.
Veolia will operate the expanded facility.
The upgrade will provide approximately 60-70% of the plant's water needs.
