Delhi Govt Approves ₹220 Crore Drainage Project for Kirari

Imagine a part of Delhi called Kirari that gets flooded every time it rains a lot.

This happens because the old pipes for water to flow away are blocked or too small, and there aren't enough of them.

So, the government has decided to build a big new water pipe, like a giant underground river, that will be 4.5 kilometers long.

They have also given a lot of money, 220 crore rupees, to build it.

This new pipe will help water flow away much better, especially for many neighborhoods that don't have good sewers.

The work will start soon on land owned by the railway and is expected to be finished by 2027.

This is to make sure people in Kirari don't have to suffer from flooded streets and dirty water during the rainy season anymore.
