Congress Affirms Alliance, Criticizes Shinde's Politics
The Congress party in Maharashtra has confirmed that they will continue their alliance with Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena UBT.
They have also made it clear that they will not form any alliances with the BJP, Shiv Sena, or the NCP for the upcoming zilla parishad elections.
Congress leader Varsha Gaikwad criticized Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for secluding his newly elected corporators in a luxury hotel, accusing him of playing low-level politics out of fear that his corporators might defect.
Gaikwad emphasized that Congress corporators are free and connected with the public.
She also downplayed rumors of any backdoor deals with the UBT for the Mayor's post.
