Araku Valley Two-Day Itinerary Offers Fog, Caves and Ghats

Araku Valley is a cool, green hill destination reached from Visakhapatnam.

A one-day trip is possible, but it requires a very early start and a late return.

Staying for two days gives visitors more time at places such as Borra Caves and Galikonda.

The train ride is scenic because it passes through tunnels and over bridges.

However, the train arrives after mid-morning and Borra Caves is about 5 kilometres from its station.

Vanjangi is famous for sunrise views but needs a 4 a.m.

departure.

Lambasingi is in another direction, so it cannot easily be combined with every Araku stop.

Travelers should carry small cash, warm clothes and enough fuel.

October through February is comfortable but also the busiest period.
