Adani Energy Solutions Secures Hybrid Power Deal with Asahi India Glass
Asahi India Glass, a big glass and window company in India, has teamed up with Adani Energy Solutions.
They made a deal to use a mix of renewable and regular power for their factories in three different places.
This will help Asahi use more clean energy, reducing their carbon footprint by a lot.
The deal will also make their energy supply more stable and cheaper.
Adani will manage all the power needs, so Asahi can focus on making their products.
This is part of a bigger trend where companies are moving towards cleaner energy solutions.
Asahi India Glass (AIS) and Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) have signed a hybrid power supply agreement.
AESL will manage a 15.50 crore units per annum power mandate for AIS's factories in Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat.
Approximately 11 crore units will be sourced from renewable energy, increasing AIS's renewable energy share to 70%.
The deal aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 72,300 metric tonnes annually, equivalent to planting 36 lakh trees.
AESL will manage the entire power value chain, allowing AIS to focus on core manufacturing operations.
