Sony Sells Bravia TV Stake to TCL
Sony, a big Japanese company, is selling most of its TV business to TCL, a Chinese company.
Sony will still keep its Bravia brand name, but TCL will make the TVs using its own technology.
This deal lets Sony focus on other things like PlayStation and movies, while TCL gets to use Sony’s famous brand.
The change will happen by 2027, and the first TVs made together will come out that year.
This is part of a trend where Japanese companies are struggling to compete with cheaper TVs from China and South Korea.
