Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 vs 8 Elite Gen 5
Qualcomm has launched two new processors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Both use the same Oryon CPU architecture with two prime cores and six performance cores.
However, the 8 Elite Gen 5 runs faster, up to 4.6 GHz, while the 8 Gen 5 maxes out at 3.8 GHz.
This makes the 8 Gen 5 about 6% slower in CPU performance, but the difference isn't huge for everyday tasks.
The bigger difference is in graphics, where the 8 Elite Gen 5's GPU is about 20% faster.
Essentially, the 8 Gen 5 is a slightly slower but more affordable version of the 8 Elite Gen 5.
