Indore Imposes Districtwide Begging Ban, Offers ₹1,000 Reporting Reward

Indore has made begging illegal across the district.

People are also not allowed to give money or goods to beggars.

They cannot buy items from people who are begging under the order.

Anyone who reports begging with accurate information may receive ₹1,000.

Reports can be made to the Women and Child Development Department project officer.

The rule started immediately and will last until October 31.

Government teams are already working to reduce begging.

Officials say the new order is meant to strengthen that campaign.
