Assam Launches Financial Aid for Male Students
The Assam government has started a new program called Mukhyamantri Nijut Babu Asoni to help boys from poor families go to college.
Boys studying in their first year of college or university can get money every month to help with their studies.
The government wants to make sure that boys and girls both get support to finish their education.
The money will be given directly to the students' families.
Boys who are already getting other scholarships or are married cannot get this money.
The government hopes this will help more boys stay in school and do well in their studies.
