CJP Rebel Launches Democratic Faction, Alleging AAP Alignment
A youth movement called the Cockroach Janata Party has split.
Former volunteer Manish Brahmbhatt created a new group called CJP-Democratic.
He says the original group does not give enough power to ordinary volunteers and protesters.
He also says the group has become too closely connected to the Aam Aadmi Party.
Brahmbhatt claimed that eight members of the CJP team had links with AAP, but this was not independently confirmed.
The disagreement began after a protest outside founder Abhijeet Dipke’s home in Maharashtra.
Dipke has said he was associated with AAP in the past but is no longer connected to it.
The CJP had not publicly answered Brahmbhatt’s accusations when the reports were published.
Former CJP volunteer Manish Brahmbhatt launched the Cockroach Janata Party-Democratic in Delhi on Thursday.
Brahmbhatt accused the Abhijeet Dipke-led organisation of sidelining grassroots volunteers and becoming a hand-picked team aligned with the Aam Aadmi Party.
He alleged that eight CJP team members had links with AAP, though the claim was not independently established.
The dispute followed an August protest outside Dipke’s residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where protesters demanded greater grassroots representation.
Dipke has acknowledged a past AAP association but said he no longer has a connection with the party; CJP had not publicly responded to the allegations.

Grassroots representation
Brahmbhatt and Supporters
Brahmbhatt alleges that volunteers and protesters from different parts of India were excluded from the national leadership, with selections favouring people close to Dipke. He said roughly 450 coordinators linked to the Jantar Mantar agitation were not represented.
Dipke and CJP Position
The CJP announced a national working committee with Dipke as national convenor, but the organisation had not publicly responded to Brahmbhatt’s representation allegations when the reports were published.
Relationship with AAP

Brahmbhatt claims the CJP has become a hand-picked team serving the political interests of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party.
Dipke and CJP Position
Dipke acknowledges a past association with AAP but maintains that he no longer has a connection with the party. The appearance of AAP leaders at a CJP protest and past links do not independently establish that the CJP operates under AAP direction.
