Israel Starts Safe Zones Pilot in Lebanon
Israel, along with the U.S. and Lebanese armies, has started a trial program to create safe areas in southern Lebanon.
These areas are part of an agreement to help stop fighting, remove Israeli soldiers, and allow Lebanese troops to take control.
The goal is to make the region safer and more stable.
Israel initiated a pilot program for safe zones in southern Lebanon on July 20.
The program is conducted in cooperation with the U.S. military and the Lebanese armed forces.
The safe zones are part of a U.S.-brokered framework agreement signed last month.
The agreement aims for the disarmament of Hezbollah, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the deployment of Lebanese troops.
The program is designed to facilitate stability and security in the region.
