Maharashtra Boosts MRVC Capital for Mumbai Rail Expansion

Maharashtra Boosts MRVC Capital for Mumbai Rail Expansion

The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved a big increase in the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation's (MRVC) money limits.

They raised the allowed share capital to ₹500 crore and the paid-up capital to ₹225 crore.

The state government will put in ₹98 crore, and the central government will add ₹102 crore.

This extra money will help MRVC work on big railway projects in Mumbai, like the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP).

These projects aim to make the railway system better by increasing capacity, improving connections, and reducing crowding.

The MRVC, which is run by both the central and state governments, will use this money to make the railway system safer, faster, and more efficient for the millions of people who use it every day.
