BJP Plans Youth Outreach Amid Gen Z and Reservation Protests
The BJP held a private meeting to discuss how to connect better with young people.
This happened after Gen Z protests and a separate movement by some upper-caste youths against caste-based reservations.
Many senior party leaders and ministers attended the meeting.
They discussed explaining what the government says it has done for young people.
The party also wants to prepare for upcoming state elections.
Its plans may be linked to a month-long service campaign for Narendra Modi’s birthday.
The BJP says it is fighting false claims made by political opponents.
Critics say some of the party’s online messages sound like threats against young protesters.
BJP president Nitin Nabin chaired a closed-door meeting on youth outreach after last month’s Gen Z protests.
The meeting included Union ministers, youth leaders and more than 40 representatives from across India.
Discussions focused on promoting government initiatives and preparing for upcoming Assembly elections, including Uttar Pradesh’s.
The outreach is expected to align with the September 17–October 17 “Seva Sankalp” campaign marking Narendra Modi’s birthday.
Opposition figures accused the BJP of threatening young protesters after a social media post targeted “dimaagi Naxals.”
