Delhi MCD House Clash Over Dengue Discussion
In Delhi, the city’s municipal council had a big argument.
The BJP party said AAP members stopped a talk about dengue and other mosquito bugs.
AAP said they were talking about real problems for people.
Even though they fought, the council still decided to buy new cars for top officials and clean up some garbage sites.
They also made a deal with a big oil company to help with trash.
The fight shows how city politics can get messy.
BJP and AAP councillors clashed during an MCD House session, disrupting a planned debate on mosquito-borne diseases.
Mayor Pravesh Wahi accused AAP members of preventing the discussion and raising out‑of‑jurisdiction issues.
AAP’s Leader of Opposition Ankush Narang countered, saying the party raised public concerns and criticized BJP’s handling of waterlogging.
Despite the disruption, the House passed a resolution to purchase new cars for top officials and approved removal of two garbage transfer stations.
The MCD also signed an MOU with Indian Oil Corporation to process 800 tonnes of municipal waste daily.
