Croatian Court Approves Extradition of Nord Stream Suspect

A Croatian court said Germany may receive a Ukrainian man accused of helping damage the Nord Stream pipelines.

The explosions happened in 2022.

German prosecutors say the man, identified as Vladimir Z., was a scuba diver in a group connected to the blasts.

His lawyer says the court decision was unfair and political.

The lawyer plans to appeal.

Vladimir Z. was arrested in Pula in August under a European arrest warrant.

He denies taking part in the explosions.

Germany says it can handle the case because the pipelines end there and the damage affected its energy security.

Another Ukrainian suspect has also denied involvement.
