Hundreds of Villagers Protest Damaged Railway Overbridge in Jabalpur
In a place called Jabalpur, a big bridge got damaged.
Because the bridge was broken, cars and trucks had to use a different road.
That other road became very crowded and dangerous.
Many accidents happened there, and sadly some people died.
The villagers who live nearby were scared and upset.
So hundreds of them gathered together and blocked the road.
They shouted and raised their voices to get attention from the leaders.
They asked the leaders to fix the bridge quickly.
They also want the road to be rebuilt so it is safe to travel.
They also said the electricity goes out too often, which makes it hard for farmers to water their fields.
Hundreds of villagers blocked the Shahpura-Patan road and protested at Patan Square in Jabalpur over a damaged railway overbridge on National Highway 45.
The damaged overbridge in Shahpura forced authorities to divert traffic on the Jabalpur-Bhopal route.
Protesters said the traffic diversion caused frequent accidents on the Shahpura-Patan road, with several people losing their lives.
Villagers demanded reconstruction of the Shahpura-Patan road, early repair of the railway overbridge, and measures to reduce traffic on the diverted road.
Protesters also raised the issue of frequent power cuts, saying farmers need at least 20 hours of electricity while the government provides only 10 hours.
