Mumbai Distributes Free Clay to Idol Makers for Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav
The Mumbai government is helping people celebrate the Ganeshotsav festival in an environmentally friendly way.
They're giving away free clay for making Ganesh statues and also providing spaces for the artisans to work.
Over 480 artisans have received clay, and nearly a thousand have gotten permission to set up their statues.
The government is also organizing programs to teach everyone how to celebrate the festival in a way that protects the environment.
This is all happening for the festival on August 27th.
BMC distributed 910 tons of free shadu clay to 487 Ganesh idol makers.
The initiative aims to promote eco-friendly Ganeshotsav celebrations.
993 eco-conscious artisans received mandap permits and workspaces.
