Meghalaya CM Releases ₹130-Crore Scholarship for 70,000 Students

The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma, recently gave out a big amount of money, ₹130 crore, to help nearly 70,000 students with their education.

This money is part of a scholarship program for the 2024-25 school year.

The event was held in Tura, and many important people from the education department were there.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is paying for this scholarship with its own money because the money from the central government hasn't arrived yet.

He also talked about plans to help teachers and other programs to support the youth in Meghalaya.

The money will be sent to a bank, and students need to make sure their bank accounts are linked to their Aadhaar cards to get the money.

The government is focusing on education and has big plans for the future, aiming to make Meghalaya one of the best states in India by 2047.
