Maharaja Yadavindra Singh: Cricket's Forgotten Royal

Maharaja Yadavindra Singh: Cricket's Forgotten Royal

Maharaja Yadavindra Singh was a prince who loved cricket.

He was very good at it and played one Test match for India.

He scored the most runs for India in that match, but he only played that one Test.

There was a lot of politics in cricket back then, and some people who had money and power got to play even if they weren't as good.

Yadavindra became a king after his father died and did important work for his country.

He helped people who needed homes and worked in diplomacy.

Even though he wasn't remembered much in cricket, he showed he was a great player in his one Test match.

Now, there's a cricket stadium named after him.
