Three Children Killed by Speeding Train While Crossing Tracks
Imagine some kids wanted to visit their friends in another village.
Usually, there's a safe underpass to go under the train tracks, but it got filled with water because of a lot of rain.
So, the kids, and other people, had to walk across the train tracks to get to the other side.
While they were crossing, a train came very fast.
They tried to get out of the way, but sadly, another train came on the same tracks and hit them.
Three of the children lost their lives, and one was hurt very badly.
This happened because the usual safe path was blocked by rain, and people had to take a dangerous shortcut.
Three young boys, aged six to eight, died after being hit by a speeding train while crossing railway tracks.
A fourth boy survived with critical injuries.
The incident occurred on the Farakka–Azimganj stretch in Samserganj, Murshidabad, on Sunday afternoon.
Locals were forced to cross the tracks illegally because the only nearby underpass was waterlogged due to heavy rain.
The children were attempting to cross the tracks due to the waterlogged underpass which normally connects their villages.
