Osmania General Hospital Residents Warn of Strike Over Resource Shortages

Residents at Osmania General Hospital say they do not have enough medicines and supplies to care for patients.

They also report delays in tests and procedures.

Some important hospital services, including cardiac and kidney care, are not working, according to the residents.

They say these problems can make it harder to treat very sick patients.

The shortages also make it harder for doctors in training to get the experience they need.

The Junior Doctors Association has asked officials to release pending Aarogyasri funds and assess what the hospital lacks.

It says it will start a phased strike on October 12 if the problems are not fixed by October 11.

The association says it will follow the applicable rules and procedures.
