Bengaluru: Liquor Ban for Independence Day, Janmashtami
Bengaluru is enforcing a ban on alcohol sales for Independence Day and Janmashtami.
This means all places that sell alcohol, like bars and shops, will be closed for a day on both August 15th and 16th.
The government does this to keep things peaceful during these holidays.
They are also considering a dry day for Ganesh Chaturthi later in August.
It's a heads-up for people who might want to buy alcohol – stock up beforehand!
