Elections Paused in Amaravati Land Pooling Villages

Elections Paused in Amaravati Land Pooling Villages

Amaravati is being built as a new capital area, and many construction projects are underway.

Minister P. Narayana said elections will not be held for now in villages where land is being pooled for the project.

He told builders to work faster after recent rains and to bring in more workers and materials.

About 35,000 people are already working on the projects.

Some major building work is nearly finished, and the first part of an iconic tower structure is complete.

The completed buildings are expected to start opening after November 11.

Roads and plots for farmers are also part of the development.

Land pooling for a sports city across three villages is expected to be more than 75 percent complete by the end of November.
