Indore Municipal Corporation Demolishes Illegal Building Portions
The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) is a city government body that makes sure buildings follow rules.
A new commercial building in Chikitsak Nagar was built bigger than the plan allowed.
The IMC used a big machine to take away the extra parts that were not approved.
They had to wait because it rained a lot, but when the weather cleared they finished the work.
This is part of a bigger effort where the IMC has already taken down more than 60 unsafe buildings in the city.
IMC demolished unauthorized parts of a commercial building in Scheme No. 94, Chikitsak Nagar.
The building covered about 3,500 sq ft and included illegal shops on the ground floor.
Demolition was delayed by heavy rain but resumed when weather improved.
The corporation is re‑examining the building plan and will remove only the unauthorized portions.
More than 60 unsafe and illegal structures have already been demolished in recent weeks.
