Kolkata Civic Outreach Camps Bring Services Across 144 Wards
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is setting up temporary help centres for residents.
These centres will operate from October 2 to October 4.
They will cover all 144 city wards by grouping some wards together.
Workers from 15 government departments will help people access 46 schemes and services.
People can ask questions and submit grievances at the camps.
Health workers will screen for dengue, malaria and tuberculosis.
Other counters will help with e-KYC and several welfare programmes.
The camps will also include real estate registration services and displays by local community groups.
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation will hold Seva Setu Abhiyan camps across its 144 wards from October 2 to October 4.
Fifty-three camps will combine two or three wards and provide services from 15 departments covering 46 schemes.
Each of the KMC’s 16 boroughs will organise at least three camps daily at community halls.
Health counters will screen visitors for dengue, malaria and tuberculosis, while separate counters will handle e-KYC services.
The programme will include pensions, health insurance, student credit and, for the first time, registration of real estate projects under RERA.
