Pulse Polio Campaign Launched in India
Health officials in different parts of India have started a big campaign to give polio drops to children.
This is to make sure no child gets polio.
The campaign is happening in places like Jammu and Kashmir, Nandyal, and Kurnool.
Many healthcare workers are helping by setting up booths and going door-to-door to give the drops.
They want to make sure every child under 5 years old gets the vaccine.
Parents are asked to bring their children to these booths or let the healthcare workers give the drops at home.
The goal is to keep India polio-free, which it has been since 2014 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Everyone is asked to help in this campaign to protect children's health.
Health officials in Jammu and Kashmir, Nandyal, and Kurnool launched the Pulse Polio Campaign to ensure zero polio cases.
The campaign aims to maintain India's polio-free status, with a focus on vaccinating children under 5 years old.
Around 11,000 booths in J&K, 46 special booths in Nandyal, and 1,630 booths in Kurnool are involved, along with door-to-door visits.
Approximately 20 lakh children in J&K, 2.35 lakh in Nandyal, and 3.52 lakh in Kurnool are expected to receive polio drops.
Health officials stressed the importance of vaccinating every child and urged parents to participate actively in the campaign.
