NIELIT, Saylor University Expand Access to Digital Skills
NIELIT is an Indian government organisation that helps people learn technology skills.
It has partnered with Saylor University in the United States.
Saylor’s online courses will be added to NIELIT Digital University.
The courses can be studied at a learner’s own pace.
They cover subjects such as artificial intelligence, programming, data science, cybersecurity and business.
Students and working professionals can use them to learn new skills or improve existing ones.
NIELIT also made agreements with eight other organisations.
These agreements will support training, certificates, internships and teacher development.
Officials said the effort could help more people, including those in underserved regions, prepare for the digital economy.
