NCB Seizes Myanmar-Origin Methamphetamine Worth Rs 43 Crore

The Narcotics Control Bureau found a large amount of methamphetamine tablets in Guwahati.

The drugs were hidden in specially made spaces inside the fuel tanks of two trucks.

The agency said the tablets were worth about Rs 43 crore.

Two people from Bishnupur in Manipur were arrested in connection with the seizure.

Investigators think the shipment came from Myanmar, but they are still looking into it.

They are trying to find other people who may have helped move or receive the drugs.

In a separate operation, the agency also apprehended six people wanted in other drug cases.

Those six people came from Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
