China Cuts Tariffs on 925 Products
China is going to lower the taxes they charge on some products that come into the country.
This includes things like materials used in batteries and medical supplies.
The changes will happen next year and will make these products cheaper to import.
The new taxes will be lower than what they usually charge to countries that are part of the World Trade Organization.
This is good news for businesses that need these products because it will cost them less money to get them.
China will lower import tariffs on 925 products starting next year.
Tariffs will be reduced on battery materials like recycled black powder for lithium-ion batteries.
Medical products, including artificial blood vessels and diagnostic kits, will also see lower tariffs.
The provisional import tariff rates will be lower than the most-favoured-nation rates for WTO members.
The changes were announced by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council.
