Bangladesh Nationals Detained in Meghalaya Border Infiltration
Some people from Bangladesh crossed into India near the border, and now the police have caught some of them.
One of them was even a police officer back in Bangladesh!
They had weapons and were caught in a village.
One of the people was badly hurt and died.
Some say they were just trying to escape problems in their country.
But, the police think they were planning to kidnap some business people in India.
The border police are still looking for others who might have been with them.
Meghalaya Police has custody of three Bangladeshi nationals involved in border infiltration.
The group, including a police constable, is suspected of crossing the border with arms.
One suspect died after being apprehended and injured by villagers.
Conflicting accounts exist; some claim to be political refugees, while others are suspected of planning abductions.
